Hunter Scott is entering his second season as the Running Backs coach at Ouachita, and his third season of coaching overall.
In 2023, the Ouachita running backs group averaged over 200 yards per game and was lead by All-American running back Kendel Givens, who averaged 111.5 yards per contest as the Tigers recorded a 9-2 season.
Prior to Ouachita, Scott served as the assistant wide receivers coach at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee for the 2022-23 season. In 2022, the Wildcats posted a, 11-1 record, earning a Mid-South Conference Championship and a berth into the 2022 NAIA Playoffs. The 2022 Bethel receiving corps produced three all-conference performers.
Originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Scott started his college playing career at Missouri Valley College before transferring to Bethel University for three seasons.
