ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's track team split time between two meets this weekend and posted good results at the Ole Miss Joe Walker Invitational and Harding's Bryan Phillips Open.
 
Ole Miss Joe Walker Invitational
 
A total of three school records were broken in Oxford, Mississippi at the meet than spanned Friday and Saturday. No team scores were kept, but the Tigers competed well against top programs from Division I, II and NAIA.
 
Belle Lindsey broke two of her own records on Saturday. The DeQueen, Arkansas native placed fifth in the 400m Hurdles with a record time of 1:03.10. Lindsey also placed 11
th in the 100m Hurdles with a record time of 14.31. In both events, Lindsey finished first among the DII Hurdlers.
 
The 4x100m Relay squad of Adrienna Gray, 
Anna Woolsey, 
Joey Babel, and Lindsey placed fifth overall in the event, first among DII teams and set a new program record with a time of 47.40.
 
Other Top Performances include:
 
Elise Knight hit an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 10:54.65 in the 3000m Steeplechase, placing second overall, only placing behind a DI runner.
 
Katelynn Nachtigal finished fifth in the 1500m Open with a time of 4:43.32, first among DII runners.
 
Mackenzie Davis took seventh in the 5000m with a time of 17:44.49, finishing first among DII athletes. 
Allison Hylkema joined Davis in the top 10 of the 5000m, placing 10
th with a time of 17:53.20.
 
Addi Durand placed 7
th in the 800m, second among DII runners, with a time of 2:17.03.
 
Izzi Breaux finished 10
th in the 1500m Invite with a time of 4:38.30, placing second out of the DII runners.
 
Woolsey finished 13
th in the 400m with a time of 58.23, second among DII runners. The Ozark, Arkansas native also placed in the top 20 of the 200m, third among DII runners with a time of 25.09.
 
Harding's Bryan Phillips Open
 
Ouachita set two school records at the Bryan Phillips Open in Searcy, Arkansas on Sunday. The meet was originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, but storms across the state forced it to be moved back to Sunday. No team scores were kept, but the Tigers did well against multiple GAC programs and some DI teams.
 
Brenlee Leonard placed second in the Shot Put with a new school record distance of 12.70m (41' 8"). The Cabot, Arkansas native finished only behind a DI thrower, and was one of two DII throwers in the top five of the event.
 
Emily Payne set a school record in the Javelin throw with a distance of 33.20m (108' 11"), placing fourth overall, second among DII athletes.
 
Other Top Performances include:
 
Rachel Dunn took second in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.24m (17' 2.25"). Dunn also placed fourth in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.87m (35' 8").
 
Alysha Colburn placed third in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.59m (8' 6").
 
Marin Murray took fourth in the 1500m (4:55.27), followed by 
Blair Turpen in fifth (4:56.30).
 
Bella Maxon placed fourth in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.73, less than 0.5 seconds out of first place.
 
Rylee Patterson finished fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:12.66.
 
The Tigers will be back in action this week at the Stephen F. Austin Cark Kight Invitational set to run April 10-12 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
